Synthesis Wall

Frontier AI. None of your data.

Synthesis Wall

The problem we set out to solve

In 2026, every enterprise wants the productivity gains of frontier AI. Almost none can legally send their customer records, financial models, or proprietary documents to a third-party API. Self-hosting an open model costs millions and consistently underperforms the closed frontier.

Synthesis Wall is the architectural primitive that resolves this trade-off.

What it does

It sits in the egress path between your applications and any external LLM provider. Outbound: it detects sensitive entities — names, national IDs, IBANs, contracts, source code — and replaces them with reversible tokens before the request leaves your perimeter. Inbound: it restores the original values from your encrypted vault and delivers a complete answer to the user.

The provider sees structure. You keep substance. The mapping never crosses your trust boundary.

Architecture highlights

  • Multilingual NER (XLM-RoBERTa fine-tuned for Turkish and English) plus regex rules plus per-industry dictionaries.
  • Encrypted vault via AWS KMS or HashiCorp Vault — per-tenant keys, audit-logged access.
  • Stateless detection workers on Kubernetes, scaling horizontally to 50,000 RPS at peak.
  • Format-preserving tokenization so the model still reasons correctly over the placeholders.
  • Policy engine with Git-versioned rules over (department, model, data class).
  • Streaming restoration so conversational latency stays sub-300ms end-to-end.
  • Multi-provider router across OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and on-prem fallback.

Compliance posture

Deployed Synthesis Wall is what converts AI from a compliance liability into a defensible process under KVKK, GDPR, ISO 27001 Annex A 8.10/8.11, and HIPAA Safe Harbor. Every request, every response, every policy decision is logged — without storing the sensitive payload itself.

Outcomes for clients

  • Legal and compliance unblocked downstream AI projects within weeks instead of quarters.
  • Routine requests routed to smaller models cut model spend 40–60%.
  • Single auditable chokepoint replaced ten ad-hoc proxies built by different teams.
  • VERBİS/DPIA documentation produced from the audit log as a byproduct.
